There are several ways to update WLED. Eternaglo is not responsible for any problems that arise from updating the software or using custom variations of WLED. If you would like to update however, one way is through the WLED/WLED Native app, which in the app settings allows for over-the-air updates to your controller. We no longer recommend this method if you need to use Ethernet, as it appears to download a version of WLED that causes Ethernet issues past v0.15.1.
A more tested method is to download the WLED binary file to your device (we provide device-specific builds on the product page on our website), then in the “Security & Updates” menu, choose “Manual OTA Update”. You will be allowed to select the binary you downloaded and update the software. If you need Ethernet this method will preserve Ethernet connectivity past 0.15.1.
If you need to reinstall the default version of WLED that comes with the Eternaglo Plus, you can try using our online WLED installer tool. You may need to download the appropriate driver if your computer does not recognize your board.
Advanced users may also be able to use these alternative methods covered on the WLED site.
